What DemandSwarm holds about customers and about the people its customers write to, and how to stop it.

Effective October 3, 2026

Who this covers

DemandSwarm is operated by Altavise Group LLC. We hold information about two groups of people: our customers, and the people at businesses our customers' swarms write to. This policy covers both. DemandSwarm serves US businesses and writes only to US businesses.

If you are a customer

What we hold. Your name, work email, business name and postal address. Your business profile and offers. The people you invite to your account. Your conversations with the businesses that reply. Your plan and billing status. Payment card details are held by our payment provider, not by us. We also keep basic logs of sign-ins and actions in your account.

What we use it for. Running the service for you, billing, support, security, and improving the product. We do not sell customer information and we do not use it for advertising.

How you sign in. We use one-time codes sent by email. We do not store passwords.

If a DemandSwarm customer emailed you

What we hold about you. Your name, job title, work email address and the business you work for. A few facts taken from your business's public website. The emails exchanged between you and our customer. Whether you asked not to be contacted.

Where it comes from. Your business's own public website, openly licensed business listings, public registries, and commercial providers of business contact data that permit this use.

What it is used for. One email from one of our customers about an offer that may be relevant to your business, at most two follow-ups, and any conversation you choose to have. Each customer can contact a small number of people at your business (at most five, at a large one), each of them once. If anyone there replies or asks to stop, that customer stops writing to your business, unless the reply names a colleague to ask instead.

How to stop it. Reply to the email with "no thanks" or any request to stop, and that customer will not write to you again. To stop email from every DemandSwarm customer, to ask what we hold about you, or to have it deleted, write to privacy@demandswarm.com. We act on these requests within 10 business days, and usually much sooner. We keep a minimal record of your address on a block list so that the block keeps working.

What we do not do. We do not sell or rent your details. We do not give customers a list to export. We do not write to consumers.

Who we share information with

We use outside providers to run the service, and they handle information on our behalf:

Content sent to AI model providers is sent under terms that do not permit them to train their models on it. We also share information when the law requires it, or as part of a sale or reorganization of the business, in which case this policy continues to apply to it.

How long we keep it

Customer account information is kept while the account is open and for 90 days after it closes, then deleted, except billing records we must keep for tax purposes. Contact details and conversations belong to the customer's account and follow the same schedule.

Details of businesses the swarm looked at but never emailed are deleted after 12 months. Block-list entries are kept indefinitely, because deleting them would undo the opt-out.

Security

Information is encrypted in transit and at rest. Each customer can see only their own account. Access by our own staff is limited and logged. Vendor keys are held in a secrets store and never in the product's code.

No system is perfectly secure. If we learn of a breach involving your information, we will tell you promptly and as the law requires.

Your state privacy rights

Some US states give residents rights to access, correct or delete personal information, and to opt out of its sale. We do not sell personal information. Whatever state you are in, you can ask us for access, correction or deletion by writing to privacy@demandswarm.com, and we will not treat you differently for asking.

Children

The service is for businesses. We do not knowingly hold information about anyone under 18.

Changes and contact

We will post changes here and email customers about material ones. Questions go to privacy@demandswarm.com or by post to Altavise Group LLC, 1 E Erie St, Suite 525-2808, Chicago, IL 60611.

Written in plain language on purpose. If anything here is unclear, write to hello@demandswarm.com and we will explain it.
